are you reading?

have you noticed?

facebook and twitter.

they've eaten my communal word time like a swarm of grasshoppers.

i have relational word time...with family for the real work of life. working word time...with disney...to pay the bills. literary writing...with my inner self laid bare. and communal word time forged in phone calls, facebook, twitter and blog...

evidently in that order.

i am not sure i can keep up all of these platforms and hope to matter inside any. i am small. we've been through this. there is only one of me.

tell me why i should carry on with this blog. i want to, but does anyone even read it? does it matter? does any of it really matter?

I read the blog. However I think you should not feel required to keep it up except as you feel inspired to do so. There is no requirement to write everyday and frankly I believe that most who maintain several writing venues post the same things or clips of the same things to every venue they use. So I say write at whichever venue you are called for the day...twitter, blog, facebook or your personal writing. Be Free!
Whatever is made public is all the more valuable for it's limited nature. :)

I read too (through RSS, so I never miss a post). And I echo Bevdotcom -- let your inclinations lead you where to write (since it's for your own satisfaction).

Now, if you're trying to reach some other kind of goal with your blogging, that's a different story. But I suspect it's purely for pleasure and can remain so.

I love reading your posts, but too often, life gets in the way and I miss much. So it is with writing. I say "ditto" to the responses of Bevdotcom and AlisonG. You have the heart of a writer. Let your heart guide you, and whatever and where ever you share it, your readers will be all the more enriched.
